Follow @MacombNewsNow Administration Bob Hoepfner, Director of the Macomb County Department of Roads, supervises all functions involving construction and maintenance of the Macomb County roadways. Mr. Hoepfner and his staff plan all road improvements and see these projects through to completion. Mr. Hoepfner directly oversees all areas of the Department of Roads. The Administration Department also ensures that major road construction projects are applied for and remain eligible to receive federal aid. The Department works with all of Macomb County's local units of government to determine which roads need to be improved and prioritizes which projects will be funded. In conjunction with the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), short-term and long-term project lists, grant applications and environmental documents are also prepared. Finally, all cost sharing documents are prepared to be sure that projects are properly and completely funded. Once construction starts, the Administration Department communicates with the news media and the communities in Macomb County on a regular basis to inform them about the project statistics and anticipated completion dates. © 2011 Macomb County Department of Roads.
